Shelley Halpern Evans
Shelley Halpern Evans is a writer and former physician. She remembers being the girl with a hidden book illuminating the underside of the bedsheets with a fading flashlight. Shelley is the author of The Ace (unpublished), a novel of historical fiction with a dollop of Canadian magical realism. Her work Deleted Arm features the quirky Simone Hennessey, a feisty psychiatrist attempting to recover from a major assault while mystery and conflict swirl around her. Betrayal: Left Canada, a painful work of memoir/narrative non-fiction surrounding rising Canadian antisemitism, is her latest project.
